Evan's Story
![]() It was several years ago while on a run, that I heard a Still, Small Voice saying, “If you really believe the Gospel is such good news, then you will spend the rest of your life telling others about it.” That was a defining moment that changed everything for me—my heart, desires, outlook, goals…it changed my whole life. From then on I began praying that someday I would be able to work in full-time ministry. God answered that prayer pretty miraculously when just a few short years later, I was offered a position at Village Seven Presbyterian where I have been happily serving for the last several years. God is so good!
Now I am pursuing the next step in this journey of life and ministry--attending seminary. I desire to gain more tools for building God’s Kingdom, and I aspire to grow in my effectiveness as Christ’s ambassador to this broken world. Teaching, preaching and discipleship are especially exciting to me, but I need to be well equipped for such work, which is why Joy and I believe seminary is so important. As I start full-time studies at Denver Seminary, my job at Village Seven will transition into a pastoral internship for which I need to raise half my salary. This means stretching ourselves out on the provision and mercy of the Lord. We believe there is no better place to be! Already, God has provided in amazing ways. We have two great needs as we trust God in this endeavor: one is for prayer partners and the second is financial support. Joy and I feel strongly about avoiding debt, but seminary tuition looks like a mountainous roadblock from our limited, human perspective. We believe, however, that our God can provide a way, for with Him nothing is impossible. Joy and I ask that you please prayerfully consider lending your support and partnering with us in the eternal mission of furthering the Gospel. Please connect with us. We would love to hear from you! Thank you and God bless! Evan |
